چکیده
Oil palm empty fruit bunches (OPEFB) were utilized as the source of organic fertilizer, but become a medium Oryctes rhinoceros proliferation in oil plantations. O. uses cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin OPEFB energy sources for larvae growth development. In process breaking combining complex compounds into simple molecules, they are establishing symbiotic relationship with bacteria residing digestive tract larvae. Isolation was carried out aim identifying third instar found OPEFB. This research done by using descriptive method. Exploration conducted through two stages. The first step attained isolating, growing multiplying conducting biochemical testing. second phase accomplished molecular testing bacterial identification. results showed that isolates after molecularly sequenced based on 6S rDNA, species identified Bacillus stratosphericus, B. siamensis, cereus, Haemophilus parainfluenzae, Achromobacter xylosoxidans, Alcaligenes faecalis. also several originating from hindgut rhinoceros.

Characterisation of Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunches for Fuel Application
This study was an attempt to produce bio-oil from empty fruit bunches (EFB) of oil palm waste using fast pyrolysis technology. A 150 g/h fluidised bed bench scale fast pyrolysis unit operating at atmospheric pressure was used to obtain the pyrolysis liquid. A comparison of the elemental composition of unwashed and washed feedstock was made in this study. With the five methods of treatment being...
متن کاملPulping of Empty Fruit Bunches (efb) from the Palm Oil Industry by Formic Acid
Empty fruit bunches (EFB) from palm oil were characterized. The holocellulose (66.97%), α-cellulose (47.91%), and lignin (24.45%) are similar to wood materials, and various non-wood materials, but the fiber length is shorter (0.53 mm). The influence of operational variables in the EFB pulping [formic acid (75-95%), hydrochloric acid (0.05-0.15%), and time (30-150 min)], on the yield, kappa numb...
متن کاملThe Oryctes virus: its detection, identification, and implementation in biological control of the coconut palm rhinoceros beetle, Oryctes rhinoceros (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae).
In view of the increasing and devastating damage by rhinoceros beetle (Oryctes rhinoceros) to coconut palms in the middle of last century, many efforts were made to find an efficient natural control factor against this pest, which could not be controlled by pesticides. The basic procedures of these monitoring programmes are outlined together with the final detection of a virus disease in oil pa...
متن کاملAcoustic detection of Oryctes rhinoceros (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Dynastinae) and Nasutitermes luzonicus (Isoptera: Termitidae) in palm trees in urban Guam.
Adult and larval Oryctes rhinoceros (L.) (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Dynastinae) were acoustically detected in live and dead palm trees and logs in recently invaded areas of Guam, along with Nasutitermes luzonicus Oshima (Isoptera: Termitidae), and other small, sound-producing invertebrates and invertebrates. The low-frequency, long-duration sound-impulse trains produced by large, active O. rhin...
متن کاملStatistical Optimization of the Enzymatic Saccharification of the Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunches
A statistical optimization of the saccharification process of EFB was studied. The statistical analysis was done by applying faced centered central composite design (FCCCD) under response surface methodology (RSM). In this investigation, EFB dose, enzyme dose and saccharification period was examined, and the maximum 53.45% (w/w) yield of reducing sugar was found with 4% (w/v) of EFB, 10% (v/v) ...
